How to Build Your New Friend!
You won't believe how easy it is to Build Your Friend! Now that you have received your Build A Friend Kit, make sure you have all of your supplies ready and follow these simple steps.
Your Kit Includes:
- ✓Unstuffed Animal Shell (with built-in zip tie & Velcro seam)
- ✓Individually Packed Bag of Soft Stuffing
- ✓Fabric Wishing Heart ("Best Friend")
- ✓Official Build A Friend Adoption Certificate
You Will Also Need:
- 1Scissors (for an adult to trim the end of the plastic zip tie once pulled tight)
- 2Something to write with (markers, crayons, or a pen for the Adoption Certificate!)
8 Easy Steps to Stuff Your Friend
Find the Back Opening
On the back of your animal shell, you will find an opening (you may have to pull apart the Velcro fastening if it is closed). This is where you are going to put in your stuffing! Inside the opening, you will also see a built-in zip tie that you will use later to seal up your animal.
Get Stuffing!
Take the stuffing out of your bag and put it inside your new friend — starting with the arms, legs, and head first. You get to choose how much stuffing to put in: if you want your friend to be soft and extra squishy, put a little less stuffing; if you would rather have a firmer and cuddlier friend, add more stuffing. (You do not need to use all of the stuffing). It is completely up to you — your friend will be one of a kind!
Make a Wish!
Take the fabric heart and hold it in your hands, close your eyes, and make your special wish! Then put it into your animal with the stuffing. It is completely up to you when and where you put the heart inside your friend!
The Hug Test!
Give your new friend a big hug and see if you like how stuffed it is! Make sure you got the stuffing into all of the arms and legs before sealing it closed.
Close It Up & Dress Your Friend!
When you are happy with the amount of stuffing, pull the one-way zip tie tight to close up the inside of your new friend, and have an adult help cut off the excess plastic tip with scissors. Remove the protective strip of fabric on one side of the Velcro for a secure close, press the Velcro seam together, and dress your new friend in their outfit if you chose one!
Fill Out the Adoption Certificate
Almost done! Have you been thinking of a name for your animal? Now is the time to choose their name and fill out their official Build A Friend Adoption Certificate.
Hug & Love Your New Best Friend!
That is it! You have a brand-new best friend to hug, love, and take on every adventure!
